Counted October 2026. Request Data shows the same count, free, before you pull.
The numbers
Counted in October 2026 from Tracer’s Florida property data, which is the Florida Department of Revenue’s statewide 2025 parcel roll. Each count names the Request Data filters behind it, so you can check the number yourself before you buy anything. A count in the app tops out at 200,000, so a bigger total shows as 200,000; one pull returns up to 100,000 records, highest value first.

41% of them have no homestead exemption: usually a rental, a second home or an inherited house.

of 67 counties for absentee-owned homes. Here 41% have no homestead exemption; statewide it’s 29%.
“Absentee” means no homestead exemption. Snowbirds, second homes and owners who bought recently and haven’t filed yet look the same on paper, so stack a second filter before you call.
48,882 of the 64,904 single-family homes in Bay County with a year built on the roll (75%) were built in 2011 or earlier, a lower share than Florida's 81%. 34,659 of those 64,904 homes (53%, more than half) were built in 1995 or earlier. See Florida homes by year built, by county.

Reach the owner
9,839 single-family homes here have an owner who gets the tax bill outside Florida. An absentee owner’s property address is where the tenant lives. Tracer reads the owner’s mailing address first and checks the caller name (CNAM) on the best number (Phone 1) against the owner, so you call the person who can sell. New to this? Start with how to skip trace or the absentee owner guide.

Where the public record lives
Every count on this page starts on the Bay County Property Appraiser’s roll. Look up an address or an owner on the office’s own search and the parcel record shows the owner of record, the mailing address the tax bill goes to, the value and the exemptions. It’s free and it’s the county’s own record, one parcel at a time; it isn’t a title search. The office's public search runs on qPublic (qpublic.schneidercorp.com).

The Florida Department of Revenue gathers all 67 county rolls into one statewide parcel file, and Tracer’s counts come from its 2025 version. Request Data filters that file (Bay County, single-family, absentee, out-of-state or company-owned) and turns the matches into a list you can skip trace, instead of one lookup per address.
