Tracerfy alternative: pay per record, not per hit.
Tracerfy charges $0.02 per hit, and misses aren’t charged. On Tracer, 10,000 records cost $99, once, whatever comes back. So the hit rate decides: below 4,950 hits in 10,000 (49.5%), Tracerfy’s pay-as-you-go price costs less; above it, Tracer does. Test your own list with 100 free records, no card.

02Per hit vs per record
Where each one costs less, on a 10,000-record list.
Tracerfy bills only hits; Tracer bills every record. So the hit rate decides. At its pay-as-you-go price ($0.02 a credit), Tracerfy’s normal trace costs less than a $99 Tracer pack only if fewer than 4,950 of the 10,000 records are hits (49.5%). At 4,950 they cost the same. Above it, Tracer costs less. Monthly plan credits are priced differently, so on a plan the line moves.
| Records that come back as hits | Tracerfy at $0.02 a hit | LeadsUp Tracer |
|---|---|---|
| 2,500 (25%) | $50 | $99, one time |
| 4,950 (49.5%) | $99 | $99, one time |
| 7,500 (75%) | $150 | $99, one time |
| 10,000 (100%) | $200 | $99, one time |

03What comes back
What a Tracer record gives you.
Phone 1, the best number
The owner’s own cell is ranked first. That best number (Phone 1) comes with its line type, the caller name (CNAM) checked against the owner, and a flag against your DNC list and ours.
The rest of the record
Phone 2, Phone 3 and the other numbers found, and emails when found, in one call-ready file. The line type, the CNAM check and the DNC flag are for Phone 1.
04The fair version
When each one makes sense.
Tracerfy is the better pick if…
you expect few hits, for example old or thin addresses, so paying only for hits wins; you trace about the same volume every month and a credit plan suits you; or you want its other tools on one credit balance, such as address-only traces, property monitors, parcel traces, phone intelligence and a do-not-call check against federal, state and TCPA litigator lists.
Tracer is the better pick if…
most of your list comes back with a result, so about 1¢ a record beats 2¢ a hit; you want to know what a list costs before you trace it; or you want the best number's line type, caller-name (CNAM) check and DNC flag included in the price.

How much does Tracerfy charge for skip tracing?
On Tracerfy's pricing page (checked October 4, 2026), a credit is $0.02 and a Normal Skip Trace is 1 credit a hit: $0.02 per hit. An Advanced Skip Trace (address only) is 2 credits, $0.04 per hit, and an Enhanced Trace 15 credits, $0.30 per hit. The page says: “Misses are free. You’re only charged when we deliver a result.” Monthly plans start at Growth, $700 a month for 50,000 credits.
Is Tracerfy cheaper than LeadsUp Tracer?
It depends on your hit rate. A 10,000-record list costs $99 on Tracer, whatever comes back. At its pay-as-you-go price of $0.02 a credit, Tracerfy's normal trace costs less than that only if fewer than 4,950 of the 10,000 records are hits (49.5%). If more than about 50% of your list comes back with a result, Tracer costs less. Monthly plan credits are priced differently, so on a plan the line moves.
Does Tracerfy charge for misses?
No, according to its pricing page: “Misses are free. You’re only charged when we deliver a result.” Tracer charges for every record you upload, hit or miss, and owners you already traced come back from cache free. In one real estate investor customer’s week in September 2026, 94% of 17,859 records came back with a phone number on Tracer. That was one customer's week; trace a sample of your list to see your own rate.
Do Tracerfy credits expire?
Tracerfy's pricing page says purchased credits don't expire, and monthly plan credits reset each billing cycle. Tracer record packs never expire, and there is no plan to reset.
What does a do-not-call check cost?
Tracerfy lists its do-not-call check (federal, state and TCPA litigator lists, plus mobile/landline verification) at 1 credit a phone, $0.02. On Tracer, every trace flags Phone 1 against your do-not-call list and ours, at no extra charge. That flag isn't a National Do Not Call Registry check: checking the registry is your job.
Can I trace the same list I would send to Tracerfy?
Yes. Upload a CSV with each owner's name and mailing address. Tracer recognizes the common export headers on its own, and you can map any column it doesn't know by hand.
